‘Emily and Me’ longlisted for the 2017 CBC Short Story Prize
My short story ‘Emily and Me’ has made the longlist for the 2017 CBC Short Story Prize.
In all, 28 writers are on the longlist for this year’s award. I’m in great company–writers like Alix Hawley, two-time winner Jane Eaton Hamilton, and a whole cadre of talented others round out the list. Five stories will be announced on the shortlist on April 11.
‘Emily and Me’ tells the story of a dying artist holed up in a quiet seaside hotel, meeting the famed Canadian painter Emily Carr.
Check out all of the longlisted writers, and learn more about the prize at the CBC Books website.
